D.S.C Christian Club

So I have yet another ministry but I am grateful to God for it! After being the Bible Club Leader at the Dominica Grammar School for a period of 1 academic year and some terms, here I am again, being the President of the Dominica State College's Christian Club!!! I am thankful for the opportunity and I also express my gratitude that I have the privilege to work with such an amazing team this year! Please remember me in your prayers, and that even throughout this year, the number of members who attend DSC Christian Club will increase, and that lives will be blessed and touched as all of us strive to live a life that is pleasing to God!

I Hate The Flu!!!

Oh how I hate the flu!!! This sickness just makes you weak, sleepy and uncomfortable. I got this thing late Monday night and by the time I woke up on Tuesday Morning it was kind of developing. As the day progressed, it got worst and it came with a kind of a headache. Don't you know how irritating it is to always be sniffing while the rest of the class is quiet? Or to be seen with a rag blowing? Or to be coughing out loud? What was more worst, is that I got this 3 hours class and I'm there trying to concentrate in the class with this flu! Trust me, my day wasn't that good. Upon arriving at home, I studied for an hour plus, then went to bed minutes to 7 and woke up minutes to 12. My parents gave me something to drink which I think worked but maybe not fully! Gush!!! I hope this thing is gone by tomorrow God's willing!

Happy Birthday Sis!

Today (September 11th) marks a wonderful day for my second oldest sister! Today is Christine's Birthday! I thank God for my sister. She is always there for me, and is a strong supporting pillar in my life. She loves me and I love her! I do hope that she had a wonderful day, and I pray that God satisfies her with many more years to come!

God Is A Good God!!

The God that we serve is a very good God. He woke us up this morning, he allowed us to see a new day, he gave us breath of life, feet to walk, ears to hear, nose to smell, eyes to see, food to eat, computers to blog and  go on fb, computers for school, and so much more. It is just a boring life without God. Serving the one who have us alive today is the best thing to do. So I am just encouraging all of you to serve God and to have that desire to worship God.

Read a bible! Even though it means that you want to start from Genesis or Matthew. Reading Psalms alone isn't enough! Try to read the entire bible and serve God. You will be rewarded for this!

School

So yesterday was my first day of school as a 2nd year at the Dominica State College. Indeed, it was enjoyable. The reunion with my friends, girl friends, and teachers was incredible. The sight of all these teachers and students adds to my urge to become a lecturer/teacher. The presence of all these first years sometimes instills in me a desire for me to do another major to leave college later. But, in all, the day was good. I do look forward to having another great day today.

My aims for this year is to excel academically, more than last year, make new friends and hopefully find somebody to love. (hehe)

Skittles

Nothing beats the love that skittles can give! The best sweet ever created is skittles. It's delicious, and did I say that it is the best candy ever manufactured? Only problem is that where I live, there are no skittles in the shops. I wish I could eat skittles every day. There are the sweet ones and the sour ones! Whenever you feel like sucking, get skittles. Forget about the mints, and the bubble gum, get the skittles! You won't regret it! I have never heard anyone criticize skittles. I have only hear positive. Thus, the founder of skittles, the manufacturer of skittles, and the maker of skittles is truly blessed!

I Always Wanted A Bigger Brother!

Truth is I always wanted a bigger brother! I have three sisters, bigger sisters that is and I am the last! Thus, I always wanted an older male figure in my life, besides my father! Someone to trouble me, fight with me, correct me, bring things for me, love me, council me about girls, teach me different things and so on. I usually imagine what it would feel like to have a bigger brother! And trust me I wish I had one! Big brothers are great people!! Can't fully describe them, cause I don't have a REAL bigger brother! So how does it feel to have a big brother?

Women Pops! OMG!!!

Can a woman propose? So let's say that I am in love with a girl almost to the point of me thinking about marrying her, and she is in the mood for a lovely dinner. We dress up, and during our dinner, she gives an admirable speech and pops the question! What would I do? I would certainly be humiliated! There are just some things that women aren't supposed to do! I am not discriminating here, but the proposing job is only for a man to do, unless in the case of a lesbian couple.

Even though the woman may find that the man is taking too long to engage her, that doesn't give her the right to do it. This could be talked about! But, honestly speaking, a woman should never take it upon herself to propose to a man. This makes the man feel gay, useless and weak!

Back To School

So while it may be exciting for others, it may be sad for some. But whether we like it or not, the summer officially ends tomorrow and then its back to school!

For me, going back to school gets me real excited, cause there was only one word with which I could describe my summer holidays and that being boring!

Therefore, seeing that its back to school, I believe its time for last lap! There is a gospel concert with Sernel Florent happening at Old Mill Cultural Center tomorrow night beginning at 7:30pm. Additionally, our Youth Ministry from our church will be gathering tomorrow night on the Bay Front for a fun-filled night. What else is happening? You are going to have to find out, but please ensure that you enjoy yourself in a good way before heading back to school!

Malik Stuart

Not only is he my friend, but he is the one who scored 9 grade ones and 1 grade two in this year's CXC examinations. I choose to blog about him because he is an exemplary young man. He serves as a desirable model for students today. His success presents joy and he is greatly appreciated by many. My heart goes out for young men that have not completed school or have no interest in school. He went through the 5 year journey and at the end was the top in his school and also was the top in CXC in his school. I pray that as he goes to college, he will even be more successful and keep up the good work! Lots of studying pays off and it did for him!

My Parents

These are my two wonderful parents in whom I am well pleased!!! I love them and they love me. My mom gave birth to me on Tuesday August 22nd, 1995 and from that time our love has grown! I love my father because he is a man that stands for discipline and want the best for his children!!!

What I admire more in my parents is the fact that they raised me up Christ-like. My Dad is a pastor and my mother is the first-lady. It's because of them and their Christian nature that I am all what I am in church today. I can recall my mother telling me that the reason that I am singing a lot today is because she used to sing a lot while she was pregnant with me! Furthermore, my Dad always wanted a boy. He had three girls and wasn't going to stop until he received a boy. Finally he got one in 1995. I am the last of their children and I try my best everyday to please them and never to disappoint them. They are proud of me because of my spirituality and my educational success! They are just the best in the world! They are loved by many! I love them a lot! and will never stop loving them!


So much to say about them, but to conclude, I just want to express my gratitude to God for such wonderful parents!

Deans List

I am grateful to God for allowing me to be as smart as I am. I did so well in pre-school and was so smart that they placed me directly in grade one. I never got to know what Grade K felt like. Then I performed exceptionally well in high school grabbing most of the awards and graduating with honors and student of the year! In college, for my first year, I have also done well. In fact, I performed outstandingly. I was on the deans list for second semester and summer semester! I got a lot of A's and I am grateful to God for all that I am, because without him I am nothing!

College is a lot of work. It's not a place to waste time. Those persons coming to college should not look for entertainment but should see college as a time of taking their school work seriously, focusing more, studying more and trying to attain and maintain a good GPA.

Nokia C6

Don't know about you but there are certain things if too many people have it, I don't want it! Blackberry!!! So many persons have blackberry, I don't ever desire to have a BB! I rather my Nokia C6 phone. It was one of the best phones ever created!






It has 5 MP camera, it has voice commands which means that you can speak to it and it follows your commands. It reads your messages. It has a qwerty keyboard and is touchscreen and has over 10000 themes installed for it. It is kind of heavy, and it also says the name of the person calling you. I can spend so much time describing the phone. It is just wonderful! It's 850.00EC by Digicel.

If you desire for a new phone, and have that kind of money, try a NOKIA C6 smart phone. It's worth it!

Sky Diving

This is something that I won't mind doing. Sky Diving!!! The day that I get the opportunity to do that, I will do it with full force!!! It seems fun and enjoyable! All the fear! Screaming while going down! Setting your parachute when you are close to landing! This will just be a dream come true if I get the chance to do this!

Have you ever sky dived? Do you want to? Let's sky dive on LIAT plane! LOL!!! They need to organize this for Dominicans! Like seriously!

String Beans

I don't know what you think about it but this is one of the best things ever created on the earth! Do you like string beans? Do you eat string beans? I deeply admire string beans! String beans is one of my best friends. I can always depend on it to satisfy SOME of my hunger!





I can recall that on Thursday night that I was so hungry and the only thing that I wanted to eat was vegetables. Due to the distance of the vegetable, I decided to cook up some string beans. Upon completion of its cooking, I seasoned it with oil, lime and salt! It was delicious. I cooked up some yesterday again!

String Beans taste very nice. It just have to be properly seasoned for it to be enjoyable. If you have tried it, keep on trying it. If you haven't yet tasted string beans, try it!

And trust me, string beans is way better than broccoli, cabbage and beats!!

Fashion

Male Fashion is something that is not so visible in Dominican men. Some males dress and what they wear they call it fashion, but reference to the picture, this is what is male fashion.

Is this gay? Would you call someone who wear these type of clothing gay? or homosexual? This is not gay! The apparel may seem gay, but hey, this is male fashion.








Truth be told, a guy which dresses with fashion or dresses appropriately wins the attraction of the women. Women love a guy that can dress! A guy that can take care of himself. I mean, you will not find in Dominica, males dressing fashion-like according to the picture above walking through town, or shopping. You will more find guys dressed up in occasions such as weddings, church, dinners etc... which is very good!

The whole point of the matter is a guy should be dressed properly. Maybe not fully fashion-like, and trust me dressing with fashion ain't gay, then again it depends on what you wear, but males should be modestly dressed. A real man can be proved by his dressing!!!

VICTORY!!

God has given us the victory over the devil. Everyday Satan devises a plan to trap us and to get us to sin, but with every temptation there is a way of escape, thus temptation + escape = Victory. Let this song encourage you.

How Does It Feel To Be A Player?

How does it feel to be a player? Don't ask me! Not because I'm on the cover of the player magazine, that means I know how it feels!














But seriously, the games that players play make no sense. This is not the right way to treat a woman. The role of a player is to have several different women at the same time, but love wins the battle for some, and for experts love is not even in the game. How can a man go around loving several women? Although this may feel right for a boy, because I'm a guy, and playing that game may be nice, but putting all jokes aside this would hurt the girl badly. For the woman to think that she had the man's heart in her hand, only to find out that that man had many hearts in his hand and she was only one of them!

But on the other hand, some women know that the man has other women and yet they make their choice to stay with that man. We call them bitches!!! (for definition of bitch, click here) That is just insane! Number one, that woman may be the one that the man is checking the least, taking care of the least, she may just be at the bottom of his list! Men love to dictate those words to women, "I Love You" and from the time the women hear this, they sense a deep connection and they anticipate feelings from the man! This is one of the rules that players must follow; to inform his girls that he loves them. Men should not be so quick to tell a woman that he loves her, because women react quickly, and saying I LOVE YOU means that YOU LOVE HER!!! and love is a very strong word! as we say in our local dialect!

I am not indicating that men are more of players than women, which is a fact that they are, but women can also be players and that job is just not the job for a woman to take on. Why? This is where domestic abuse comes in!

Players should cease from playing that game and play their game right! Even though you are in a relationship with one woman, that game can still be played right!

Switched At Birth

Imagine that you are a parent and after your child is 16 years old, you are being bombarded with information that your child has been switched at birth. How drastic is this!!!! Put yourself in the shoes of parents who may have gone through this situation? How would you react? What would you have done? Is this even possible?


If I was the father in this situation, the first thing I would do is blame myself for not realizing that the child does not have my identity. As time passed by, I should have realized that she does not look like me and chances are she is not my child. Then, I would sue the hospital. They are the ones who made this mistake and they are the ones who need to take account of it. Although 16 years is a rather long time I would be attacked with words or questions such as 'Didn't you see that this child wasn't looking like you? Didn't you have a connection with your child? How did you do it all these years'. I would still sue the hospital for their error.

Afterwards, I would claim my rightful child not neglecting the one whom I raised, but I would want to get to know and act as a father to my own child. So I don't think that I would demand that my rightful child stay with me from the time of acknowledgement. She/he will be an adult soon and there is a probability that they would get married soon. So it isn't really a matter of, let's say, claim the child and raise the child again. Trust me, by that time, the child would have adopted the ways of whoever raised him/her.

This would be a very painful situation! God would have had to give me the grace to deal with this.

Drinking!

The Bible says that a little bit of wine is good for the body. As you are getting older, it seems like as if your body is calling just for a little bit of alcohol. But the truth is, too much alcohol can get you addictive and then it is possible for you to become an alcoholic. Alcohol serves its function best in parties, weddings, receptions and sex occasions. But it is necessary that you see to it that you do not drink too much alcohol, because certain things may occur when you become drunk. Everything that you always wanted to tell somebody or say about a particular thing may become published. You may do things that if you were sober you would never want to do. Furthermore, the Bible reminds us that no drunkard shall enter into the Kingdom of God. Therefore, I am not urging for alcohol consumption to cease, but I am saying that excessive alcohol consumption should be lessened! A LITTLE bit of wine is good for the body!

How I Spent My Day

So yesterday was my 17th birthday. The day was good though, despite of the weather. From the time that 12:00AM came, I started my birthday with bible devotion. Then when I woke up around minutes to 10, I started to play music. After, I took my first bath on my 17th birthday, put on my birthday wear, then went for my birthday cake. Upon arriving back at home, I looked at television, received gifts then went up in the village to visit some of my other family members. After doing that, I ate my lunch, then went for a walk, played games, sleep, woke up, and then we had the cake-cutting celebration with wine. Then, I played a game of dominoes and awaited the 23rd of August to show on my phone, before I called it a day! My day was excellent!

Happy Birthday To Me!!!

Today marks my 17th birthday! Although I am still upset as a result of Tropical Storm Isaac, I am grateful to God for allowing me to see another year! This year my desire is to be drawn closer to God and to be an ambassador of him everywhere that I go. This year I surely wanna rep the kingdom! If God be for me, who dare be against me? Thank you Lord for another year!

Tiles Lifting Up In Church

Well I don't have any pictures to prove it, but its true! Besides crabs moving up and down in church, tiles lifted up in another church during praise and worship. The worship team was conducting praise and worship and suddenly tiles started to pitch up with a sound. It started from the front of the church and reached a little distance. Was this a sign? This was just not normal!

Crabs In Church

You are accustomed of seeing crabs in holes, or by the sea, or in a barrel or bucket when caught, but not in church! Well my friends, the crabs came last night to give God praise! The word of God did say that if we don't worship him, he will raise up stones to do so. But crabs aren't stones?!

There was a youth gathering in Pointe Mitchel church last night, and all of a sudden, a young lady screamed. What was she screaming about? A huge crab that was ambling up and down in the church. Trust me it was huge! People started to scream and then the crab went at the front of the church and disappeared. Then there were two other, smaller ones, at the back and they started walking in the church, causing a mini disruption again! It was the first time I ever saw something like that! Crabs in church! A cockroach was present at well, but cockroaches are usually there, but not crabs! It was insane!!

Storm On My Birthday

The only thing I did not do is cry! If only you know how disappointed and discontented I am right now! After having made my plans weeks before, I am getting to know that there is a storm on my birthday! I am like OK! Roseau will still be open. What made it worst, is the fact that the Prime Minister called of work! Thus, Roseau will be closed. What am I going to do for my birthday? I haven't bought anything as yet. Why? Because I was planning to do it on my birthday! This just sucks! Some of you may be happy cause you get to sleep! But, it's my birthday!!! Why me???

Music

The Bible says that without faith it is impossible to please God. Here's another fact, without music, it is impossible to live life! Why? Because, music is life! Picture life without music! OMG! What a boring life that there will be! Nothing to dance to! Nothing to sing! Nothing to rap! Nothing to put on your ipad, ipod, phone! Nothing to download! Music is vital to our existence! Everyone loves music, because everyone has their preferred type of music. That's why music is variety. It comes in a range of different forms. Thank God for Music!!

Maybe your favorite type of music is secular or worldly music, but my opinion is that the best type of music is Gospel Music! That's why I am a gospel singer! I started writing love songs and recording love songs, but then I jumped into gospel music and this is where I'm gonna stay! Ever had a rough day? Weren't you ever sad, depressed or troubled? When that gospel music plays, you feel the joy of the Lord and here comes a smile on your face! Gospel music soothes your doubts and calms your fears. It places you in a location like as if you're by yourself and you can feel the presence of God! There is no other music like gospel music!

Besides gospel though, my favorite type of music comes from 4 artists such as Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, One Direction, Justin Bieber and Jesse McCartney. I listen to various other songs from different artists, but not their complete package!!

I said it once, and I will say it again, WITHOUT MUSIC IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO LIVE LIFE!

Last Day Of Being 16!!

So there you have it! I'm 16 years old. Today, actually, is my last day of being 16, therefore today is my Birthday Eve!!! I am going to try my best to enjoy my last day of being 16!! First on the agenda, is to update my blog, which is what I'm doing right now, then head to town for a birthday hair cut for tomorrow God's willing, then whatever comes after that!

Yeah, I get that every time that I look 19 or even 20, but the truth is tomorrow if God spares life, I'll be turning 17!

So, I thank God for a good 16th year. It wasn't how I expected it to be, my 16th year, but it was irie! I was successful in my first year of college with a high GPA, as well as successful spiritually!
I do anticipate a wonderful 17th year, a year filled with much more success, more spiritually!
