Exactly How Long Is A Moment?

Today seems to be a rainy day. We are still in the hurricane season so we should be on the look out for hurricanes. At one point in time, the area where I live has no rain but I'm being told that town has heavy rain. This therefore discouraged me in desiring to go to town, but the errands that I had to undertake was a necessity. Afterwards, I'm being told that town has no rain, but rain is falling on my roof like bullets from a gun shot. What am I to do? I thought of cancelling my tasks and leaving them for Monday but then the rain stopped in both places, so I went on with my normal plans.

Upon arriving at the state college, I asked the bursar a question. She is a sweet, calm and loving lady. She assisted me by telling me to 'come'. Now, obviously, in certain institutions you are not allowed beyond certain points. But I ambled with her words in my mind, 'come', but after a certain period of time, I felt unaccustomed. Am I really supposed to be be where I am or am I supposed to be sitting on the chair by the receptionist desk? She told me come, but after I departed and went on the chair. She was still assisting me, because she was looking for something for me, but soon after the Minister of Education arrived.

He requested the assistance of the Bursar, and she exclaimed that she heard his voice, so they went in her office but I am still sited on the chair awaiting  my call. Around 10 minutes later, she came to me and told me to "wait a moment eh", I responsed "Yes Miss".

Other workers in the office asked me if I was getting assistance, I told them "Yes". Then after a while, the Minister departed, so I am thinking that its my turn but still no sign from the Bursar.

Finally, she told me to come, and I can say that it was worth the wait!!! She even offered me royal treatment, so I didn't regret waiting.

Don't you just hate it when someone tells you to hold on a minute and they should have said hold on 30 minutes? Hold on a second, and it should have been hold on 5 minutes? Or hold on a moment, and it should have been hold on 15 minutes?


Sometimes they may even forget about you! But sometimes the moment is worth the wait!!!

Were you expecting me to say that she forget about me? Ha Ha!
