Dominican Idol

Dominican people have so much talent! It's true that we have Q Talent Search and other organized events that are aimed at projecting and exposing one's talent, but we need a DOMINICAN IDOL that functions the same way as American Idol.


The aim of American Idol is to identify future stars. Upon completion of the contest, the winner is presented with not just money, but a recording deal, and usually that person becomes a star in their country and in time to come, other countries.

This opportunity can be extended for both gospel singers and secular singers! I for one, would participate in such competition. I am not saying that Q Talent Search is not a good-enough talent exposer, because that contest is in fact a good one. But a country needs to have more than one! I was rather elated when I heard the advertisement of the "DOMINICA CAN DANCE" contest. I'm all for talent! I admire shows and organized events where persons can reveal their talent and become a Dominican celebrity and have concerts or shows in the Stadium or other places!!!

Do you think that we need a Dominican Idol? Would it be an efficient source of exposing one's talent? Conduct some research on American Idol, then change American to Dominican. WE NEED IT!!
