Congratulations!!!

Often times we criticize the education system, criticize schools, criticize teachers and even students but it is factual that every school have its pros and cons. This afternoon, the St. Mary's Academy needs to recognized for their outstanding performance in the CXC Examinations. Some parents/guardians neglect in allowing their children to attend SMA due to the fact that it is an all-boys school and even the children themselves refuse to enter for that related reason. But, it is without a doubt, that SMA has been topping the CXC examinations for the past couple of years and it can be concluded that some of the products resulting from SMA are exceptional, intelligent and bright ones.

Not forgetting the Convent High School, the Pierre Charles Secondary School and the other schools which did exceptionally well this year!


It's true that our education system can be improved in certain areas, but let us not castigate different schools and their performance. Every staff member should be trying their best. You can't force anyone to become who you want them to become, it's their choice. A teacher can only educate, be exemplary and lead in the right path!!! It's up to the students to decide whether or not they will adopt the teacher's principles and guidelines.

Congrats to SMA, and congrats to the TOP EIGHT who sat the CXC Examinations this year!!
